EPDM Installation

There are three different installation methods available for StaFast EPDM membrane:

Ballasted
EPDM ballasted is the fastest and most economical installation method, suitable for roof structures that can support a minimum dead load of 25 lbs. per square foot and with slopes of less that 3/4" per foot. This technique has proven performance, and is particularly suited for new construction.

 

Fully Adhered
This method can be used on virtually any roof deck, and is especially suitable where lighter weight is required or where the roof has unusual contours or multiple penetrations. Applicators can choose from a full selection of adhesive products offered by StaFast: StaSafe waterbased bonding adhesive, FasSeal all purpose bonding, seam and flashing adhesive, and StaBond neoprene-based bonding adhesive.

 

Mechanically Attached
This is an economical system using wide membrane sheets and long batten bars for attachment to wood, steel, or other suitable roof decks. StaFast supplies a complete line of Fas N’ All bars and screws for these applications.
